Welcome to Home skills/ Food technology Department, Oak Hill School where we emphasis firmly on developing practical cookery skills of our students.
Students learn about healthy eating, Food hygiene and safety, how to plan, prepare and cook a wide range of dishes.
The main aim of this department is students will have the opportunity to cook a wide range of predominantly savoury dishes, building a repertoire of recipes they can call on when required to feed themselves and their families.
In addition, we also offer many enriching activities that the students can engage with outside of lesson times. These activities are offered at least three times a week.
